My mom or dad. That’s an interesting question that my friends and I just talked about at our bible study this weekend. When we ‘need’ something, I feel like i can sometimes be so quick to go to God with something. But, when I’m thankful for something, and have good news, I feel like I want to go run and tell someone else…hmm

My mom. Then I might text my closest friends if I know I won’t be seeing them soon. I prefer to tell people in person, though.

Depends on the type of news… Most often, my two best friends first. Then Mom (she’ll tell Dad, if he doesn’t get on the phone with us). And then my sister.
Sometimes a mass e-mail is the quickest way.

The person it’s relevant to or the person who was in the battle with me (if I got a new job and they prayed with me and advised me). Most times, I call my mother.

Usually my dad since he is available to answer his phone 24/7 due to the structure of his job. However, today I had huge news (I matched with an internship site, which is a HUGE deal in clinical psych) and I contacted my accountability partner first followed by a facebook notification and an e-mail to my parents since it was 5:30 AM when I found out.

My best girl friends, definitely. But it’s been a while since I’ve had that big of news, I think. I was pretty excited to get a greeting card contract the other day, but just bragged to the friends I ran into that day.

It depends on the type of news. If I’m sick or hurt (or hospitalized) I call my DAD (or mentor/boss) b/c my mom worries excessively over sick kids.
For news about athletic adventures or work, I’ll call my dad.
If I’m sad, I avoid people who will demand daily updates (not sure why), if I’m stressed I go to God first and tell others after I’ve had a day or two to send time focusing on God and his character.
