How would you describe your living quarters? Neat and organized or messy and carefree?

Definitely neat and organized–and even more so if there’s something else that I’m trying to avoid doing.

Neat and organized, most of the time. I don’t like a messy house.

I’m pretty neat and organized. Sometimes my apartment gets a little messy during grad. school weekends and then I have a deep urge to restore order to the chaos.

I enjoy neatness and organization, but my brain doesn’t naturally function that way imagine the characters from The Odd Couple in one person. Mwahahahaha.

I function similarly to anewthing. Somehow I have a reputation for being exceedingly organized, but find that when I have a lot on my mind, my place reflects that (something that develops with the advent of each quarter and disappears in between–I hope to break the habit when I graduate). I’m also a stress-cleaner, so the more stressed out I am, the more spotless my living quarters.

Right now I am both. neat and messy.
When I can afford my own place again. I will go back to being neat. for now. I do what I can.

I think I find cleaning to be a stress reliever. My current roommate is one of the biggest pack rat i have EVER encountered! So I know the Lord is growing me in this season =)
I am not SUPER neat and tidy but when faced with chaos and disorder I tend to go into super clean mode.

I’m a recovering mess-a-holic! I am successfully battling being a packrat.

I like things to be clean, and I am organized, but I am also a spreader. I would rather have everything in neat piles on the floor than stacked in a closet where I have to dig through everything to find what I want.

Oh, golly… I am a “certified” Messie and packrat. What’s funny is that I enjoy helping other people sort and organize their stuff. For some reason, I’m not great at that with my own stuff and home.
And I want to be at SAHM. Go figure!!

I grew up with my father constantly saying, “Cleanliness is next to Godliness.” It stuck. Everything in my home has a place and if it doesn’t, I get rid of something so that everything fits comfortably. Clutter, messes, and dirt stress me out.

I generally like a neat living space and try and keep it tidy and free of clutter but I do have my “stacks” of “organized” stuff lying around too. I think it’s just a result of my ADD tendencies. But I am ok with it because as long as the majority of my room is tidy having one stack never really bother’s me that much and I get through it eventually.

Just because you’re a pack rat, doesn’t mean you can’t be organized! And that would be me! I’m trying to be better about not saving everything “just in case” because, really, there’s not THAT much room in my house. Although my organizational skills do help me make the most of the space I have.
As to neatness, the only thing that can get out of control at my house is the mail. I get a lot of junk (ads and coupon packs and whatnot), and for some reason I feel compelled to READ it all before throwing it away! When I don’t have the time, it just gets cast off to the side and piles up ’til I can’t stand it anymore. Many Saturday mornings find me sitting on the couch, sorting through a pile of week-old ads with a trash bag at my feet.

Somewhere in the middle.
I live in an efficiency apt above a garage. Translation: I don’t have a lot of extra space. So, that helps with the neatness. In general, I am a rather neat person anyway, though.
However, I do have a bad tendency to keep papers (largely cause I don’t instantly throw the “crap” away – I just add it to the pile – and am uncertain when to get rid of the “non-crap”). And I actually HATE putting up laundry (I don’t mind washing and drying the clothes, I just hate the folding and hanging and searching for lost socks bit). So, it’s not uncommon for me to have my clean clothes draped, in a pile, over the couch.
Eventually, it all drives me nuts and I go on a cleaning binge one weekend. And then…all is good with life until the NEXT binge.

I like my work space to be organized and clean. I tend to have one drawer, one flat spot, and one room that go through phases of messiness. The messier room (for working on quilts and other projects) has to have a door I can close to block out the mess.
My car is my messiest spot. I tend to live out of it and only clean everything out when others need to ride in it. I’m trying to tame it though and take things in every night instead of letting it build up. Inevitably though, as soon as I clean it, the next day I need that pair of shoes, blanket, water bottle, or whatever that I finally cleaned out.

Generally organized is the best term for me! So, depending on what life is being lived at a certain moment in time, some areas are neat, and some could be considered messy, and be adjacent to each other.
I was thinking about this over the past year, and realized, any work is, in a sense, messy by nature, even when a clean or organized person is doing it.

My living quarters are an interesting mixture of messy/organized. As an artist and seamstress, I must have my tools out and about for ongoing projects and spur-of-the-moment inspirations. Thus sometimes things look messy. However I do keep my things organized in general. I like order. Order = Peace.
