Best time of day for exercise

What time of the day have you found to be the best for exercise?

I find I’m most consistent if I use commercials while watching TV as mini exercise times.

I prefer early mornings so long as I get a good night’s sleep. I typically do a morning and evening workout though. I used to be more likely to get the morning workout in, but lately it’s been tough to get out of bed! Must be because 30 knocking on my door soon…

During the work week, I prefer evening work outs, but on the weekend, I get up early for long bicycle rides.

I prefer either mid-morning or in the evening as I have the most energy to push hard at those times.

I like to exercise later in the evening after dinner. I can grab a shower and get a great night’s sleep.

Morning. If I don’t do it then, I don’t do it!

I’ve done both morning and evening, but recently evening is the best time since most of my morning is spent getting ready for work.

During the week, evenings are best (as I really don’t like getting up while it’s still DARK out), but I’ve found that, on Saturdays, it’s best if I can do it early so that I have motivation and energy for everything else on my to-do list for the day!

Mornings and evenings. Of course, it’s more difficult in the winter months because it’s dark and cold, but if I give myself two shots at it, I can usually hit one.

First thing in the morning, I’m definitely a early morning gal & am most successful working out then. Exercise gives me energy so I find it to be the best way to start my day!!!

I really admire all the morning workout types. I’ve tried it a couple of times and for me it’s just a bad, bad idea. Once I lasted two weeks, and my students started asking me why I was so mad all the time. (Oops!) Now I’ve found that if I walk in the door after school and immediately put on my workout clothes, I’m good. But if I check the mail, or run to the grocery store, or sit down on the couch… game over.

I find that lunch time is the best.

The best time to workout is whenever I manage to work out. To mangle Jon Pinnette:

“You’ll get addicted to working out once you start!”

“No, I’m pretty sure I can stop anytime I want!”

During the week early evening works best. I do like to go in the morning on Sat. I have to agree with HeyMel-if I get distracted before I get going I’m in trouble.

In my current season of life, right after work is easiest. I’m not very motivated in the mornings so I will not push myself. But at 5pm I have a ton of energy and it’s good to destress from the day.

I would have to say the morning. It’s a great way to wake up and start the day. This doesn’t happen for me, though. It tends to be the afternoon or early evening, simply because of my schedule.

Lunch time! There’s always something around the house that can be done before work and plenty of distractions after, whether it’s house work, errands or visiting with friends. Lunchtime is tough, trying to get cleaned up and back at my desk, but it also is a really stress-relieving time away from the office.

Usually morning, but let’s face it…just getting it in is a triumph some days!

I like to go jogging at about 5:30, right after I get home from work. The sun isn’t so hot, and there’s a lot of activity on the streets to distract me. Plus, I can end up at my favorite food market and fruit shake stand for supper!

i like to go jogging after work. (there’s no way i’m getting up early…), and bc the park i go to closes at 6, i leave work early to go. i find it good to be intentional, like “i just took off work to do this, so i’m gonna try hard”

i also like that i see the same people. like the guy who knows me as the girl with the basketball, and the other one who quizzed me on mental math skills, or another who recommended a book (that i can’t remember) to me. :)
